As a fourth generation dentist, Dr. Buchanan’s resume is one that speaks beyond her years. Her commitment to health equity led her to be recognized as a “Healthcare Hero” by her alma mater Spelman College. She is actively working to eliminate diversity gaps, recruitment shortcomings and unequal access to care in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Brian K. Buchanan has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. He is proud to welcome his daughter, Dr. Zerita C. Buchanan, into the family practice to continue the tradition of providing excellent dental care to all patients. Dr. Buchanan is a native of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and is a graduate of Baker High School in Columbus, Georgia. He graduated from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1983 and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 1991.Dr. Buchanan is licensed in the states of Georgia and Washington.
He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the International Team of Implantologists (ITI), as well as many other civic and professional organizations. Dr. Buchanan has joined in the movement for The Million Book Read Campaign, a program to promote literacy.In his free time Dr. Buchanan enjoys fishing and spending time with his family.
